Hi everyone,
We’ve been looking at how you present your work to clients, and one thing keeps coming up. Once your renders leave Chaos Cloud and go into InDesign, Photoshop or other presentation tools, the workflow becomes fragmented and your media loses its interactivity. And when a render changes, you have to rebuild the deck by hand.
So we’re prototyping Presentation Layouts (working name), a way to put together client presentations directly in Chaos Cloud using your live renders, panoramas, videos and more.
A few things we’re exploring:
-
Grid layout to organise renders, text and interactive media into a clean board
-
Freeform layout for moodboards, site comparisons or storyboard-style pitches
-
External media and embedding content
-
Veras built in so you can try design variations without leaving the board
-
Custom Branding, Viewer engagement analytics, PDF Export
-
Automating presentation drafts with an AI Assistant

We’d really like to know:
-
Would this fit into how you present to clients today?
-
Would it save you time compared to your current setup?

What a fun surprise! I really like the built-in features from Veras—there’s so much room for creativity with Presentation Layouts. I noticed the PDF export and some collaboration tools, and it would be awesome to have a BCF collaborative format like Enscape does.
Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are all great, but do we always need them? Maybe not, or maybe never for some of us. This setup might just make us rethink our workflow.
The interface feels a lot like Whiteboard. Will they be separate tools or combined? Since both use Chaos Cloud, will it just be a tab next to Whiteboard with a similar look? It looks fantastic, though price will definitely be a big factor for both Whiteboard and Presentation Layout.
I can’t wait to try it out!
Cheers!
Interesting…
This would likely be an easier sell to the wider team as long as its scope remains narrow. The input is the same (slides, images, branding deck), the output is the same (slides and renders), and it doesn’t require (hopefully) clients to learn any new interfaces or create accounts etc. they just see the final presentation as always. I would be pitching it as a straight swap out of Adobe.
Some other offerings attempt to streamline the design process by covering client approvals, compile all product specifications, record keeping, etc. and trying to become more of a project platform or common data environment. For us that’s always a much harder sell/automatic disqualification.
(Having said that, IT always tend to ruin things anyway by complaining about new costs and not wanting files and production outside of the company managed/approved systems…)
Anyways, the demo seems promising and I could see it fitting in. Whether it actually saves time or improves the final product though is tough to say at this stage. But will be following
