I know this is not a new issue, I’ve seen several threads about this in the past, but I am wondering where the issue stands at the moment and if there is anything being done to address the issue where next-gen antivirus products such as Cylance is auto-quarantining Enscape files. In a zero-trust environment necessary to adequately protect enterprises from cyberthreats it is a normal practice for the majority of anti-virus programs to auto-quarantine abnormal files and files that have no populated attributes or that are not digitally signed - exported Enscape files meets all of these criteria. The logistical nightmare this creates for workflow is increasingly problematic the more we utilize Enscape. Simply white-listing folders is not an acceptable option. It creates security gaps and it creates logistical issues and sharing files within the organization is difficult to say the least. Are you guys looking at the issue? Are you guys working with vendors like Cylance to address the issue? Please advise.
@TAMannerud , thanks a lot for your inquiry and welcome to our forum!
We’re very aware of the fact, that this poses / will pose an issue when it comes to our standalone .exe files, and there is a corresponding topic on our agenda filed to help with this case to which I’ll happily add your feedback and another upvote.
It should only be a matter of time when it comes to a solution which we’ll implement to help with this, but I don’t have any ETA just yet, so we’re thankful for a bit more of your patience!
