Enscape asset library , placing models on toposurface

Hello

When I try to place models on a toposurface it seems to be placed on some arbitrary height. Is there a way to have the asset automatically be locked to the toposurface?

The height is not arbitrary but on the active workplane.

So what I do is

set the workplane roughly right

place them

select all trees (isolate by category) after placement

click “pick new host” and select the topo.

That attaches the trees to the topo.

  • once a family is hosted to a topo you can create an additional one (CS, create similar) and it will automatically also be hosted to the same topo

I’ll probably do something wrong, but it didnt seem to do anything. the “Host” parameter is greyed out, might this have something to do with it?

Check the ribbon (modify tab) when you have the object selected. There should be a button there to select host.

Yea, I tried that, but it didnt move the assets.

@3DMake , I’m yet unable to reproduce this problem. Could you briefly pass me a project file with the mentioned toposurface for troubleshooting purposes? That would be great, thank you in advance.

Do you have somewhere for me to upload the file? Its too big to attach to this forum

@3DMake , you can just use https://wetransfer.com. Thank you!

@3DMake , I received the project and I was furthermore able to reproduce this behavior. I’ll get together with our developers. Thanks a lot again for your feedback.
