Enscape for Mac 4.19.0 Released

Dear Forum Community,

We’ve just released our latest version Enscape 4.19.0!

Improvements

  • :new_button: Chaos Assistant Product Guidance: Ask how-to and support questions in plain language and get instant, contextual answers from the Chaos Assistant — without ever leaving Enscape or Impact.

  • :new_button: Chaos Assistant Light Mood Match: Drop in an inspiration image and let the Chaos Assistant generate matching Enscape views and reusable visual presets in seconds.

  • :new_button: Chaos Assistant Asset Suggest: Not sure which asset fits? Let the Chaos Assistant recommend Cosmos assets straight from an image, a prompt, or your active viewport, so you can populate scenes and iterate on designs faster.

Known issues
  • Single asset placement may be imprecise.
  • In some cases, dragging an asset may place multiple instances instead of a single one.
  • Scrolling may behave unexpectedly while typing in the assistant panel.

  • :new_button: Chaos Cloud Integration: Exporting to Chaos Cloud just got a lot simpler. One unified flow now handles panoramas, still images, scenes, and web standalones, replacing the old Upload Management entirely.

  • :new_button: Skyboxes: Enscape now supports loading .exr skyboxes, as long as they use one of our already-supported layouts.

  • :new_button: Vectorworks: Enscape now adds preliminary support for Vectorworks 2027, so you can start exploring the latest release right away.

  • Error Messages: Improved error messages shown when custom assets are missing or fail to download, making it clearer what happened and what to do next.

  • Material Import: Added a specific, actionable error message when a material can’t be downloaded due to missing write permissions, instead of a generic error.

  • Hotkeys: Enscape now prevents assigning the same hotkey to two conflicting actions (e.g., the screenshot hotkey and a GUI mode hotkey), with a clear error shown when a conflict is detected.

  • Interface: Text fields in Enscape now support the standard right-click context menu (cut/copy/paste).

  • Performance: Improved export/transmission speed through more efficient data compression.

Fixed Bugs

  • View Management: Fixed section planes not getting applied correctly when switching views.

  • View Management: Fixed Enscape window becoming unfocused after switching views from View Management.

  • View Management: Fixed clusters occasionally failing to register hover and click interactions.

  • Veras: Fixed video download from Veras not working.

  • Diagnostics: Fixed BootError log files being created even when there were no errors.

  • Veras: Pasting text into input fields in the Cosmos Asset Library, 3D Streaming, Upload to Cloud, and Veras is now available on macOS.

  • Asset Library: Fixed the CAD Asset Library panel closing unexpectedly when trying to select search results.

  • Asset Library: Fixed the Asset Library panel closing when using arrow keys to navigate the Cosmos search field.

  • View Management: The back button is now positioned correctly according to the design.

  • Interface: Fixed the About button text overlapping in some languages.

  • Asset Brush: Fixed the Asset Brush preview option remaining enabled even when there were no placed assets left to preview.

  • Material Editor: Fixed AI-generated material import failing if the Chaos Cosmos Browser window was closed while the material was downloading.

  • BIM Panel: Fixed the BIM panel not keeping the previous search filter after closing and reopening it.

  • Site Context: Fixed the Site Context map resizer drifting away from the cursor when zooming with the scroll wheel while resizing.

  • Multi Asset Placement: Scaling and Tilting sliders are now disabled in the rectangle, circle, and flood-fill placement modes, where they had no effect.

  • Installer: Fixed the installer’s “Please close these applications” list being slow to appear when Cloud Licensing was selected.

  • Installer: Fixed the installer’s Language page caption to match the “Next” button.

  • Help Panel: Fixed an incorrect icon in the Help Panel for changing the time of day.

  • Ray Tracing: Fixed a visual issue with ray-traced shadows and rotated vegetation.

  • Ray Tracing: Fixed backface UV mapping sometimes looking incorrect in reflections.

  • Rendering: Fixed a potential issue with inaccurate physics when objects are mirrored.

  • Rendering: Fixed an error in Auto Exposure calculations when using a white sky background.

  • Light Management: Fixed light indicators not displaying correctly in “Show Visible Only” mode.

  • Selection Highlight: Fixed incorrect selection highlight rendering on recent Intel drivers.

  • Rendering: Fixed a bloom issue that caused it to take up less area at higher resolutions.

  • Minimap: Fixed a bug where users could get teleported after resizing the minimap.

  • SketchUp: Fixed the video texture thumbnail not showing in the Material Editor in SketchUp.

  • SketchUp: Fixed the Asset Library window in SketchUp not closing via its shortcut.

  • Vectorworks: Fixed textures in Vectorworks being lost when modifying a material.

Known Issues

  • SketchUp: Geometry created with SketchUp’s procedural (Labs) tools cannot currently be exported.

Happy rendering!

Just updated to current version. If you arent aware with this version, when rendering it “zooms” out beyond set scene. Nothing seems to change the “zooming” when rendering.

Hi @larry_heiny

Thank you for sharing your findings with us! This definitely needs to be investigated, so I would like to ask you if you could please send us a report through the Enscape ‘Support’ button?

Additionally, in the report’s description, please add something along the lines of “as described in the forum post: [link]”. This will allow us to get started with the troubleshooting of the behavior and if a bug is found, to report it to the developers.

Thank you in advance!
