Enscape for Revit - Weird Light Trail

I have already contacted Enscape support, but I wanted to see if any other people have encountered a similar problem.

I am working on an interior walk through video for a client created by several paths of interior spaces being stitched together. The first video I went to export was the gymnasium. As I observed the Enscape
“preview” video, everything looked normal and as it should be. However, when it was both actually rendering and in the MP4 video, a weird phenomenon occurred. As the camera spins around, a very strange shadow/light trail comes off of the objects. At first, I thought it could have been the time of day, but all of the cameras in the path have the same time. I also thought of some other factors (exposure, sun, bloom, lens flare, contrast, etc.), but still nothing works. I have also tried different resolutions. This happens in the other spaces of the school I am attempting to export, so it is not specific to the gymnasium. I have run out of ideas…

I have attached some screenshots of the exported video that shows the scene before and after this shadow/light trail begins.

If there is geometry in front of a shiny surface you will get a white ‘halo’ that trails it as you are moving. I think that it’s something to do with a metallic finish (and/or the new clearcoat finish) rather than just a glossy reflective finish.

(The area of the surface ‘hidden’ behind the foreground object is being generated as you see more of it, but you are seeing it before the program has had a chance to work out what you are meant to see… it explains why it is happening, but I 100% agree that it shouldn’t.)

The one oddity between the video you posted and the problem I’m encountering is that your “trail” or light phenomenon is only temporary. When you move up and down or side to side it’s visible for a second, but then regenerates and looks normal. In my case, the object starts to give off that light trail and it remains only adding to it even more until the majority of the scene is affected by it.

It could be related - perhaps if they find a solution to one it will fix the other? (One can hope  )
