Having an issue running Enscape and the feedback button isn’t working so I can’t send the Enscape log files. I get this message when i try and start Enscape:
Enscape could not start. we are sorry for the inconvenience. we are eager to fix the problem you’ve encountered, so please send us an error report. your feedback includes the Enscape log files. this helps us to fix the problem sooner.
Can someone tell me if my graphics card is ok? If I’m reading the requirements correctly it should be ok.
Card I have: GeForce GTX 1050
Requirements:
| Graphics Card |
Intel Arc A310, NVIDIA or AMD dedicated GPU with 4GB VRAM that supports Vulkan 1.1 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 900 series / Quadro M series and newer AMD Radeon RX 400 series / equivalent Radeon Pro series and newer The latest available drivers or at least our recommended drivers |
I already went through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling and still not working
please help!
Hi @nickt59 and welcome to our Forum!
EDIT: I am afraid it seems your graphics card is not supported by Enscape as it has only 2GB of VRAM. I will keep the procedure in order to contact support in the future posted below nonetheless in case you need it.
If you are unable to submit a dedicated support report with logs, please kindly transfer your log files manually to our support team via our help center as detailed here: How do I contact Support? - News & FAQ - Enscape Community Forum
You will find the log files to transfer manually in the following directories:
Enscape main plugin log files:
C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Enscape\Data\Logs
SketchUp plugin log files:
C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp\Enscape\Logs\EnscapeSketchUpPlugin
Feel free to just put them all in a .zip archive to then attach via the help center as mentioned above.
Meanwhile, in case you haven’t done so recently in the past weeks/months you can try updating the graphics card drivers for your GTX 1050 to see if that makes any difference. If it does not, simply stay tuned for a further response from support via e-mail after we have had a chance to check out the provided logs.
Thanks a lot in advance for your cooperation.
Pardon the double reply here but:
So you are aware, in case your GPU the GeForce GTX 1050 does not have 4GB of VRAM, which does seem to be the case, then I am afraid your machine does not meet our system requirements accordingly. In that regard we hope you get the chance to upgrade or switch to a different machine.
