I only see the skybox when I open Enscape, even though I have a building and a site model loaded. I’ve tried several methods to get Enscape to render the geometry, but nothing seems to work. I have attempted the following: hiding links, removing items with a lot of polygons, purging the model, checking the origin point, managing view visibility, downloading the file source to render locally, deleting materials, and adjusting Enscape settings. Despite all these efforts, the issue persists. This problem is also occurring for other team members, and we haven’t been able to find a solution. Please help!
Hi @mariana961 , and welcome to our Forum.
I’m sorry to hear about this behavior; this is, of course, not to be expected.
First things first, can you please ensure that the machine(s) on which you want to use Enscape actually support our System Requirements detailed here?
If so, please simply reach out to our official support team too, as detailed here, and we’ll be able to troubleshoot the exact cause behind this.
We had the same thing on many machines. We’ve been in touch with support but no fix yet. We’ve tried versions 4.12, 4.11 and 4.7 but all had the same issues. We rolled back to 4.1 two hours ago and that version does seem to work.
We have a team of beta testers at our firm and we are having the same issues with Revit2024 on 4.12. File sizes are ranging from 750MB to 1GIG file sizes. Is someone looking into this?
I’m facing the same issue in Revit 2024 with the latest version of Enscape and drivers are up to date. Tried this on multiple machines as well. If I use a section box for a small piece of duct for example is shows in Enscape, but if I make the section box bigger the model disappears.
Hi @Kai-Wing , welcome to our forum, and thanks for reporting this.
While we’re actively troubleshooting the behavior detailed here, to make sure it’s fully tracked and lands with our official support team as yet another example, could you also submit this via the Help Center/Support button, please?
All we need is a brief note and/or a link to this thread/post in the submission form, which is enough to connect your report to our ongoing investigation.
Thank you once more in advance for your cooperation.
This is what happen to one of my co-workers yesterday.
I have been having this same issue with a particular model in Revit, with other colleagues seeing the same result. What I can’t understand is why it fails to render anything even if I reduce the scope box. I have tried auditing and creating new views, updating graphics drivers, and trying different versions of Enscape to no benefit. Very frustrating. Is there any update on what could be causing this? Thanks.
There’s a full paragraph of text to read through, but in short, it also outlines the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Log in to your Chaos account and download and install the newest version of Enscape, if you haven’t already.
- With the latest version of Enscape installed, repair the required C++ package by running the file located at: C:\Program Files\Enscape\redist\VC_redist.x64.exe
So is this solution working for everyone?
No Joy with the fix above, it’s frustrating to have paid for a software that we can’t continue to take advantage of the upgrades that we have paid for. @Sling3r you mention a full Paragraph somewhere, but I don’t see a link in this thread could you share, @Demian_Gutberlet any update on this? It essentially makes the software unusable now.
Hi @MaddogMcG , and welcome to our Forum.
To make sure we can pinpoint the exact cause of this behavior on your specific machine, please kindly submit a dedicated support report as described here. Once we have that information (machine info, plus included log files), we will be able to assist you further as quickly as possible.
Thank you very much in advance for your cooperation.
@MaddogMcG Having the same problem here. Have you figured it out yet? I’ve been struggling with the exact same issue since I wanted to update from version 4.2. I tried every single thing I could think of, but nothing worked. So I just stuck with 4.2 because it was working fine. But now I’ve moved to Revit 2026, and the same problem came back. The only difference is that I can’t set up a stable 4.2 Enscape cause it doesn’t support RVT26… It’s so frustrating![]()

We all seem to be beta testers with multiple problems with the new versions. I pity IT who have to support a great deal of users with “monthly” updates of both Enscape and Cosmos, plus graphics drivers, print drivers, Windows updates, etc. Enscape used to “just work” reliably and that has not been the case for a long time, with little help or direction from Enscape.
I also encounter this issue while rendering from Cloud Revit file. It does affect my workflow since I always use synchronize view wile editing the model. Sadly I just renew Enscape license but cannot fully utilise. Does my Revit file is to large to render? when I open downloaded/ detached Revit file, the model can be render but when I copy latest editing items from the shared cloud model it only work for one time render. when close and re-open become blank again. Please assist me.
I am using updated REVIT 2024 on,
updated WIndows 11,
LENOVO LEGION 5 16IRX9
Processor: Intel(R) Core™ i7-14650HX, 2200Mhz, 16 Core(s), 24 Logical Processor(s)
Installed ram: 32 GB (31.7 GB usable)
Storage: 1.9 TB
Graphic card: Up-to-date NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU.
Also done re-install updated Enscape version - 4.17.0.1175
@johndo21 Nope, never got a resolution, just downloaded “Enscape-4.17.0.1175” and still no luck, @Demian_Gutberlet is there a status on the resolution of this issue, I have provided logs up the wazoo but the response provided in the ticket as useful as a handbrake on a canoe.
In my experience, this usually happens when the project geometry exceeds what Enscape is designed to handle. Rolling back to older versions doesn’t really solve the issue for me — I see the same behaviour regardless.
This has been mentioned by Enscape developers before, and it tends to show up most often on larger Revit projects. When I’m working at that scale, I generally move the project into Envision instead, as it handles large and complex models much more reliably (as this is what it is designed for).
There are a few other benefits too - mainly the way it handles revit light sources too.
Do we have an official update on this issue?
The last stable version for us is 4.8 which unfortunately is not supported by SketchUp 2026 which is causing some issues for our teams.
I wouldn’t say our projects are unreasonably large or anything which makes this even more frustrating given that the same projects had no issues until 4.9.
We did install the newest preview 4.18.0.1143 Preview 2 and some of our existing projects are showing geometry again, so maybe this will be resolved with the next official release? It does seem to take a little bit longer to load, but that may be normal given some of the new features we have been without since 4.9…
