Enscape to V-Ray

I am not sure if this relates to Enscape team or V-Ray team. I have to constantly export models from REVIT, Rhino, Sketchup into 3D Studio Max to render, lately also using Vantage or Envision.

Our files are quite large and even though the VRayscene works flawlessly most of the time, when those files are opened inside 3D Max each element is separated into Polygons, this means that if the object is a wall you get 6 separated faces instead one solid object. If it is a chair, each element is separated, and sometimes even each face of each element is separated. This makes the files quite large to work with and hard to manage.

If there were an option to weld vertices before importing, this could solve this issue, or collapsing by materials layers or something, but not leave each face separated.

Also if there was a way that Enscape library objects were translated as proxies, for example if I have a room modeled in REVIT, but all the furniture comes from Enscape library, when using the VRay export and then opened inside 3D Max, V-Ray should know that all tat furniture is already from Chaos library and load it as proxy, instead of a blob.

Resume: When exporting Enscape scenes as VRay scene, to have the option to weld objects or collapse by materials or layer, instead of each element or polygon being separate.

Also if Proxies or Chosmos library objects stay as such and not transformed to mesh.

Thank you.
