Hello,
I am going thru a trial of Enscape for Revit. Whenver i have the enscape window open and navigating thru it causes for some reason my battery backup to beep. I am curious if anyone else has run into this issue or why this would cause this. Only beeps when enscape is running.
Thanks,
We have not received any reports regarding such behavior yet - sounds like warning that too much power is being drawn maybe? You do not experience this with any other performance intensive 3D applications what so ever? You could even try to run a stress-test for your CPU or GPU (furmark) to see if the beeping occurs then as well.
After moving a couple of things off of the battery backup to just the surge protection this has resolved the issue.
@segerarch Great to hear you were able to resolve the issue; thanks for letting us know!
We have the same issue at my office. There are a whole lot of back up batteries beeping when we are on deadline with enscape. Any help with this would be appreciated.
We have the same issue at my office too.

Hi @s.tsogias , I reckon you have already reached out to any available system administrators of yours to identify and/or resolve this behavior (likely also caused under load by either a backup battery/UPS)? And could you perhaps also let me know to which other performance intensive 3D applications you refer to?
Yes, I have already talked to the IT Manager. The other programs I use every day with no UPS sound alarm are Archicad and progeCAD.
I have also run userBenchmark without any alarm too.
Thank you for letting me know. I’ll bring this matter up to our developers as well to confirm if this may be mainly due to Enscape or generally performance intense application and whether or not we can help with this behavior in the future.
Hi everyone, just to give you an update to act as further information from one of our developers to hopefully avoid this behavior as much as possible for the future:
“To the best of our knowledge, the UPS is pushed over its limit when Enscape is using more resources and is causing more power to be drawn. We don’t interact with anything on the power supply level directly. The only fixes/workarounds we can recommend is to potentially upgrade the UPS, reduce the other load on the UPS somehow if possible, or run Enscape in a way that puts less load on the system (smaller resolutions, quality level etc).”
In case you have any additional thoughts or even concerns in regards to this please feel free to share of course though I hope this info is helpful to some already.
