Envision and Archicad Workflow

I’m not sure I get the ENVISION idea… it’s BETTER than Enscape.. .but for me using ArchiCAD, I have to own BOTH? cuz I can’t go direct from ArchiCAD to Envision?

Can you post the workflow for ArchiCAD users (or point me to the website page that explains this?

I am curious about going to the next plateau..

On owning both - Envision is part of the Enscape Collection, so if you own Envision, you will naturally own Enscape too. Regarding the workflow, what in particular you would like to change?

Enscape and Envision are not better or worse versions of each other. They support different stages of the design workflow.

Enscape is the tool you use while you are actively designing. It runs directly inside your CAD or BIM application - in your case, Archicad - so you can make design decisions and see the visual impact immediately. That’s why Enscape is lightweight, fast, and easy to use. It keeps you close to the model and gives you real-time visual feedback without exporting files or moving into a separate production environment.

Envision is the next step when the project needs to move beyond real-time design review into more advanced presentation and storytelling. It’s a standalone application designed to pick up where your CAD tools hit their limits. It’s built for designers and visualization specialists who need to deliver cinematic-grade presentations without the steep learning curve of a traditional DCC tool like 3ds Max. It allows you to continue working with your Enscape project, but with more tools for building a final presentation.

In short:

  • use Enscape to design, review, and make decisions quickly inside Archicad.
  • Use Envision when you want to take that same project further - with more scale, control, animation, and storytelling.

Can you please explain what exactly you mean by “going to the next plateau”?
