I have noticed that having some characters like " " when pasting text has the error.
yeah, it happens a lot here as well.
They are aware of it for quite a long time, as they are struggling with it themselves, but so far nothing has been fixed. Don’t hold your breath. I find that the forum is dying. Corona forum is active as always (younger crowd I suppose).
What do u mean about the forum is dying?
Not response from the developers? I have always received an answer
No questions from users? That… maybe so.
That could be it, more and more users are starting to use Corona, but I have found its forum has many posts from errors. I also had always been strugling with it, I have report alot of issues, and aks for new tools, and men, Its very frustrating, I have received more help from users than developers. But thats another story.
Not much in the link but maybe this can help: link.
In some quick testing, I deduced that the error pops up when you have something in the post as simple as “if” then two equal signs in a row (e.g., “=” “=” but next to each other.) The "if and equal signs don’t even need to be directly following each other but can have any amount of text between them. It doesn’t matter if they’re in quote or code tags either.
Thanks @dlparisi what worked for me was removing the quote marks, once I did that, I could paste the text that I wanted to use.
Just an observation; the developers are responsive no complaints there, just less interactions I find. The usual crowd is here. But people are moving more to other channels (discord, facebook groups…) to learn, share and ask for help. I loathe these formats, it’s a mess to find information.
Also I don’t mind users helping eachother, not everything needs a developer’s voice if the user feedback is correct.
I noticed that even simple text without quotes has this issue sometimes.
