error: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION [...] Preparing camera sampler

Hi to all,

since days I try to render a scene with a lot of multiscatter objects. (a siteplan from top with a mass of grass elements)
The rendering starts, updates textures and stops by “updating instances (10254)”. After about 10 minutes I got this error:

“error: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Preparing instances Last marker is at ./src/vrayrenderer.cpp, line 2359: Preparing camera sampler”

I use distributed rendering with one pc for this scene.

Master PC: i7 & 32 GB RAM
Slave PC: i7 & 16 GB RAM

During the “updating instances” the Master PC uses 100% CPU and 74% of RAM, the Slave PC uses 0% CPU and 58% RAM.
First I thought I am out of RAM, but it seems not to be.

Maybe there is something wrong with my rendersettings, maybe you guys can have a look at it

My VrayLog:

Rendersettings:

It’s difficult to say what caused it; it would be best to get us a scene to vray@chaosgroup.com so that we can debug it.

Best regards,
Vlado

any idea what has caused this?

Got the same start today, any developments why?

On scene open, renders fine, normally on second render it will do it. The materials it has issue with are loading in bitmaps FYI

The original issue was fixed already, but you may have a different problem. Would it be possible to send me the scene?

Best regards,
Vlado
