Escape Rhino crash

I am a Rhino developer with Robert McNeel and Associates, and I have been debugging a problem in which Rhino crashes whenever another plugin loads a microsoft report viewer and Enscape is installed in Rhino, and I am wondering if there is a developer at Enscape that I can work with to try to fix the issue. The bug may be in Enscape OR at may be in the Rhino assembly resolver, and it is extremely difficult to track. It is causing real problems for other pluigin vendors.

The bug report for Rhino is here.

It appears that something in Enscape, possibly a security measure, does not like it when the report viewer compiles expressions in the report. The link above includes a stack trace and source code for a plugin that can reproduce the error.

Any help is appreciated.

I currently think there is an infinite loop in an Enscape function, but cannot tell much about it because I think that Enscape is obfuscated.

Welcome to our Forum @wfcoo and thank you for the report.

Could you kindly send me another link if possible to the bug report for Rhino itself? In case there is still one available, as it seems that the current one you linked is not anymore.

On top of that please also make use of our feedback report function (as detailed here) which submits a set of logfiles and crashdumps that may be vital to our developers in order to troubleshoot the cause behind this further, so please send one in and make sure to either put a link to this thread in the submission form, and/or by letting me know once it’s submitted.

Thank you in advance.
