I’ve had to retype this 3 times now (in the TECHNICAL SUPPORT area)

So I’m just going to post it here

I am still having an issue with sending a client the EXE and WEB EXE files. On his NEW Windows Box, he can open the files, but the camera is permanently stuck looking up. He can momentarily look down, but the camera jumps back to looking up. He cannot move in the model at all.

I have sent many successful files to others… In fact I’ve even sent THESE SAME files to others who have no issues… Yet everyone on HIS team has this issue…

Please let me know how we can resolve this issue.

I’m guessing it is specific to his machine(s)

  1. Virus Detection?

  2. GPU?

  3. ???

My thinking:

  • Is this a desktop or laptop; ie mouse or touchpad or even trackball.
  • It’s almost as if the mouse is constantly be moved up but obviously that can’t be so but if the have mouse keys enabled it could be a stuck key on the keyboard. Info on mouse keys: https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000542.htm
  • Are they using the same language as you? If the exe is built on your machine but then run on another machine with a different language it could be that the equivalent of mouse up on yours is numlock on theirs.

Thanks for chiming in… My only comment on your thinking is that it is happening to at least 3 machines in their camp.

Yes, they are the same language..

It is possible that they all use the MOUSE KEYS item… I will forward to them and see…

Ok then, that eliminates a few possibilities, couple more ideas:

Are they a small organisation with std setups for their pc’s or are the part of a bigger org with an IT dept and PC’s with heavily restrictive Windows group policies?

If it’s the latter then a possible test would be for one of then to try it on a home pc outside of their org’s restrictions.

As Enscape is essentially a game engine underneath I googled for “mouse constantly looking up in game” and “character constantly looking up in game” and got a good number of results, have a look and see if any match.
