Would be great if there was a different image export option other than heavier floating point options such as jpg.
thanks.

Hi jujubee,
Support for jpg/jpeg will be available in the next release of Vantage which will come in a couple of weeks.
Best regards,
Alexander
Thanks looking forward to this.
Thanks, thats great news, could you please include support for .tif 16bit files or .png 16 bit files.
Thanks
Hi vishwanath_mani,
Isn’t the current .exr sufficient for the cases where you would need more than 8bit per channel? Can you explain your usecase for .tif 16bit files or .png 16 bit files?
Best regards,
Alexander
1. Since the framebuffer is already rendering in 32bit, wouldn’t it be easier to give 16 bit tiff or 16 bit png options. ?
2.Also every time we have to convert the exr to 16bit tif in post, sometime we are doing patch renders also and it takes time to covert from one format to other, at a time we are doing lot many more views.
it would be very helpful for us if any one of the format with 16bit is directly supported, we know 8 bit png is already there, so 16 bit png will work too.
Thanks
As a side-note, this right-click open source file converter has been pretty handy.
Still nice to have additional options available within the save dialogue.
Thanks, will try
Did you check that out yet and what did you think? It’s one of the handiest freebies on the planet. ![]()
