exterior_1

this is an exterior that i was commissioned to do. not my design or preference for architecture but was testing the integration of 2d with 3d plants. any advice and comments would be appreciated looking forward to your feedback thanks. ;D

Re: exterior_1

Looks great! Just don’t know if the lens flare would actually be in that spot in front of the gutter.

Re: exterior_1

I think you did very well the combination of 2d & 3d plants.
Imho the flare doesn’t fits well, but it’s only my opinion. Also i think the white elements are too white (looks like 255,255,255) and therefore got burned (not shaded).
It looks like the bottom right window doesn’t have a glass (or doesn’t have anything to reflect).
Is the sidewalk should block the entrance pavement like that?

It will be interesting to know the render time and the poly count.

3D foliage can have so much polys that often one plant can have more poly than the whole building/project. :-\

Very good render Chisel!

Re: exterior_1

very nice render 8)

Re: exterior_1

Very nicely done with the plants. I find it very hard to deal with the plants. Still don’t really know how to get a real look out of the plants.

Re: exterior_1

hey. liked that !! About the flare i agree .. it could be more at the corner i think … not sure about that!

Anyway … your render has a kind of atmosphere that i cant define. but its pretty cool.. gives alittle artistic effect .. well just my opinion !!!

Re: exterior_1

nice application of 3d plants very convincing…imo the 2d tree behind need more resolution look a bit jagged.

i once tried applying 3d plant using xfrog trees and my model cant be render until now because it crashes right b4 the moment the rendering start

Re: exterior_1

I have the same problem, but it seems that some people can render with lots of trees in their models and I dont quite understand why. I am sure there is something in the visopt settings that I am missing somehow.

Re: exterior_1

I think because xfrog trees are really high poly… so you probably need to reduce the polycount

Re: exterior_1

See if reapplying the bitmaps will fix it.

Re: exterior_1

Micha has sorted the problem for me now, cheers. It was a memory issue.
