Hi this is for longer time the first Post i put in here. Before i only did several not so nice jobs for very uggly one family houses … buaarrrgh ..
now this architecture was middle class but allready better.
I had 4 Days for this one. there are many smal details in you cant see in this smaler pictures but doesnt matter. whats the best i think is the overal light solution… thanks to vlado (which in my oppinion still could be aproaved, if the sky did hdri… ) but thats allready very sweet. glossys nearly every where… this makes very much of the materials i think.
now whats not that nice are the trees, the floor for peoples isnt enough detailled too, and the displacement grass.. well i allready did better. but its good enought for the aim.
Nice work Tom, the lighting is spot on. I especially like the first image. I assume you have used the vray sky? Can’t wait to get my hands on that new feature!
its a very beautiful new feature. still could be aproved in direction of high dynamic range… but very very usefull and fast and morever very flexible..
pretty good one Tom, I can’t wait to try this hehe, IMHO I think shadows are too smooth and not like a real sun shadows .
May be they could increase the sensation of a little model or a little scale lighting pbl(I speek about soft shadows).
But this is a great way of communication esp. if you have to discuss difficult things. Things which are easier to write down instead of talking about. Maybe I should more often use a chat or board to “talk” with my wife.
The pictures are great. What I do noct like that much:
- the trees (maby some textures would bring them alive
- the gras behind the house looks very tiled
great work tom, you might want to increase the size multiplier on the vraysun to give a little more area shadow. late afternoon’s tend to have really soft shadows.
When is the night shot coming??
You are all right. I also dontl like the trees. I did take them out of our llibary, hit render and thats it. No time for more tests, while we do have much better trees.
Hmm, ill see if i still want to change them.
Ah and thanks for the areashado idea. You are right. softer shadows could improve this.
These really are very nice images - I wish I could get close Is there any chance of you doing a mini tutorial about how you set this scene up? There is not alot out there on VraySun. Cheers.
As everyone has already said the lighting is superb. I love the contrast between the cold blue shade and warm yellow sun. I think the leaves would look much better if they were smaller and more dense. (would help hide they’re polygon nature) This can be quickly done by creating a scatter object using the original leaves as the distribution object. Of course proxy em before rendering.
