Eye distance in stereo panorama

Hi

I have made some stereo panoramas with Enscape (both in Revit and SketchUp), but when I view them, they seem to have a way too large eye distance - my eyes just can’t overlay the two images. Is there a way of setting a smaller eye distance (or any other setting that will affect this)?

Is it not a problem of your viewing device? The eye distance of the virtual camera influence the stereo effect only. A large eye distance of the virtual camera cause a stronger depth effect. Funny side effect, if you would choose a very eye wide distance than the stereo image would show a doll-house-effect. But it should not cause an overlay problem.

This is really a matter of the devices being used, the combination of the smartphone and (cardboard) VR device. Maybe you can tell me a bit more about that? Which combination of devices are you using?

Usually this behavior can be resolved by simply getting a VR device which allows you to adjust the eye-distance through the lenses accordingly, but the smartphone itself also has to be compatible with the corresponding VR device itself too for it to work. So let’s say the phone is generally too small or too big, then this could also cause issues.

Thanks for your replies!

It might be that my phone (S9 plus) is too big for my viewer, however I can view other panoramas I have made with other software correcly. I usually use a pupil distance of 65-80 mm.

I can try the same stereo panoramas with a smaller phone and see what happens.

However, in this thread Cardboard stereo VR panorama

you say that there is also an issue with Enscape which causes stereo panoramas to not show up correctly on some phones, and that this will be fixed in a later release?
