does anybody know how to define/ create a falloff material in vray for sketchup?
Re: falloff materials
There isn’t an explicit falloff texture like you’ll find in Max, but there are two options. The first is to use the AngleBlend material that you’ll find in the new SR. It definitely the easiest to use, and will get you going most of the time. The other option is to use the Fresnel map and input different maps (or colors) into the two slots. This is going to be much more tricky as you’ll have to adjust the blending/transition via the IOR value, and you’ll also have to invert the colors or maps that are used to get the correct result. Let me know if you need more info.
