Hi Chaos Corona Team,
I would like to request a feature improvement regarding how resolution locking works during Interactive Rendering (IR).
Current Problem:
Right now, the existing resolution lock mechanism tends to degrade or alter the image resolution and quality after switching between different cameras with different aspect ratios several times. It doesn’t handle dynamic transitions well when moving from a vertical to a horizontal framing.
Proposed Feature / Solution:
I need an option to lock the IR resolution based on a fixed pixel value for either the longest or shortest side, which automatically respects the camera’s aspect ratio.
Ideally, it should work like this:
- Set a target value: I input a resolution (e.g., 900px).
- Dynamic Adaptation: The engine detects whether the active camera/view is horizontal, vertical, or square based on its aspect ratio.
- Smart Lock: The system locks that 900px value to either the maximum or minimum dimension (user-selectable).
- Seamless Switching: When I switch presets between a vertical camera and a horizontal camera, the IR should instantly adapt without losing DPI, dropping resolution, or degrading image quality over multiple transitions.
This would immensely improve the workflow for artists who constantly bounce between landscape and portrait crops for the same scene.
Ask any ai and it will give fast code example for logic workflow.
Thank you for considering this request!
Best regards,
Aleksandar
