Feature Wishlist for Upcoming Versions

Hello Chaos team,

First of all, congratulations on the release of Envision! The tool is very promising. After thoroughly testing version 1.0.1, I would like to report some bugs and make a few feature requests that could greatly improve the workflow and user experience:

  1. Support for imported objects in Scatter
    • It would be extremely helpful to allow custom objects (e.g., FBX, SKP) to be used as elements in the Scatter system.
  2. Zoom in the editing timeline
    • Please enable zoom in the timeline using the mouse scroll, preferably while holding a modifier key such as Ctrl, Shift, or Alt. This would make navigating and editing sequences much easier.
  3. Ability to delete parts of imported assets
    • Enable users to delete specific elements within an imported scene or asset to improve flexibility and optimization.
  4. Option to ungroup imported objects
    • Allow imported groups to be separated, giving users better control over individual elements within a file.
  5. Animated FBX or Alembic (.abc) import support
    • Adding support for animated FBX or Alembic files would unlock a lot of potential for product animations and motion graphics workflows.
