I’ve found the ASGvis Interior Illumination tutorial very useful. Thank you for that.
But in some cases isn’t satisfying. Mainly when I have Interior view with a view to exterior environment (like a yard or porch).
I’ve tried to adjust the physical camera but then the interior gets dark. Lowering the Reinhard multiplier helps a bit but not enough.
Is there a way to get the Interior illuminated properly without burning the exterior (with GI only) ?
In that case you should place rectangular lights on the windows. That is one of the occasion where you need to place rectangular light to throw more natural light to the interior. The GI is light that came from the outside, if you increase the GI multiplier or use the physical camera to increase the brightness of the interior, you are going to burn out the exterior. One solution is to get your desired exposure for the exterior and place rectangular lights on the windows to get your desired interior exposure.
