Wondering how some of you setup their work environment as far as file organization gos?
when working with more then on computer, the potential for misplacing and deleting important files is very hi. i have 4 computers (1 is mobile) and i do work outside and in office needing to sync things i do for a client back to the main station and visa versa
Would love to here comments and ideas about this and what are the best ways to keep things under control and backed up.
usually i create a client folder then copy this into it and rename this template to the project name for that client. then i just delete the folders i dont need.
I think this is a good one - its groups everything for a project into one folder including files from the client etc, so when your done with the project you just zip it up and store it somewhere other than your main production server.
I assume eml would be saved out EMAILS
Bin could be bin files from say realflow exports
backup, could be a backup of older files before changes were made perhaps?
looks good, and similar in concept to what I do, but i go a step further and use dated folders under the major headings as working (as you all probably do too!)
Architecture = change heavy. soooo..
