Hi.
A client wants me to make fire to an animation. The fireplace is open from the sides and as the camera moves, I wouldnt want the fire to be
a simple plane with animation which then rotates with the moving camera .
I tried to search from this forum but as we now have Corona 3, does anyone know would there be a simple way to create flames?
I know that’s not what you are asking for but I thought it might help in future or for far shots, (and it is free!).
I think Phoenix is a very good option as it comes with few one-click-presets if you are not familiar with this kind of simulation before. https://vimeo.com/182985824
the free 30 days trial is fully functional and if you don’t do much work of this kind you can rent a license for 70$ per month when needed.
I’m not sure if there are any limitations with Corona tho, As the guy who does effects here render these stuff with another renderer.
Forgot to answer but this right here will do perfectly for me.
There was some problems as Corona didnt understand the .mov files as texturemaps, opened .mov files in premiere and exported as JPG.
Works perfectly and did a simple turntable-animation to see the flames.
Big thanks!
