Flat screen monitor recomendations?

Hi

I need to purchase a new primary monitor for home computer. I can fit max. 22" one on my desk. I did look around but most of them exhibit some sort of bending on gradients.
Could anyone recommend any particular model (which is not susceptible to bending)?

The EIZO one above is really good, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative then i could recommend the Dell S2309. I had this one at work and couldnt find anything to complain.

If you want to play games or video on your screen it may not be a great choice due to the face the response rate is only 8ms…

Sorry, I didn’t mention: I’m affected by the global monetry market and I don’t have much of “liquid assets” in my pocket;)

Joke aside, I know about EIZO range of monitors but that’d be just an overkill for my home use.

You’ll want something that uses an S-PVA panel and NOT a TN panel (crappy, cheap). You can get one that uses IPS if you can find one.

i would go for Samsung SyncMaster 245T
24 inch pro monitor..really good for great money

the chepest quality monitor I found was Philips Brilliance 200P7ES
20" screen 1200 x 1600 - 4x3 ie not widescreen - its IPS not TN

(I like it.. but the dual input switching is hopeless - takes 6 button presses - use a kvm instead)

We bought a NEC Multisync LCD2190UXi recently and i must say that i am very impressed by this monitor. The price quality ratio is very good. It cost us 770 euro, i wasn’t able to find a monitor of this quality any cheaper than this.

FYI, Lacie uses the same NEC panels in their monitors (wich i think is a way of telling the quality, Lacie is very good but expensive)
