Fog colour problem

I’m having a problem with fog colour. I’m using vray 3 so I don’t know if that bears any relation. I like to put a small amount of tint to my glass, and normally I have done this by adding a very slight green colour to the ‘Fog color’ slot and then dropping the ‘Fog multiplier’ to a very low value.

However, at the moment I am using a green colour of 252,255,252 with the multiplier at 0.001 and I still have a very vivid green colour. Any ideas?

Does the glass plates have thickness?

Yes - 10mm

And nothing weird is going on with the scale of the glass?

Try a darker, desaturated green. I think the color is too close to an extreme. Especially that 255 in the G - maybe bring things closer to 200 if possible

I’d also check if the geometry’s ok, like normals pointing in the right direction.

I will double check these things, but I am pretty sure it was just an extruded line with a shell modifier applied and then converted to an editable poly.

raise the fog bias.

tricky, can you send me a simplified version of your scene ? Just the green glass and the lights - peter.matanov@chaosgroup.com.

Just emailed you Peter.
