French provence bastide

Hello all

Happy new year for all, health and prosperity for this year !

I’d like to share my latest job made in France. I was alone and had 1 month to achieve the project and i have done it with Vray sp4.
this was a really great job, the research of those specifics provencal french textures was a great challenge. Those specific textures were done with my nikon D70 and Vrayscatter help me for ALL the vegetation, environment and also the gravels… yes i know my doctor tell me the same things…

So !

Some exteriors for that

And interiors shots

neat, what time of vegitation are you using?.. it need a little work, however i like the overall feel

I think these are fantastic! Great work…would love to go there!

I really like the light work on these, both interior and exterior. Congrats.

Great imagery…

Not sure about foreground plant in shot 3… Some floating twigs there catching my eye…

Very nice work
I think stone walls need more depth.

Yes ! they need… i’d love to re-work on it to make a really great displacement map… i’ve just one day to take the pics and made a map… not so many time to make a really good displacement map :frowning: but i m workin on it wheen i could have time, and maybe re-render it with !

So thanks for all the comments !

great work. The rug in the bedroom is kinda weak though. More then made up by those gorgeous sheer curtains. You sure those are cg?

Amazing, I like it so much !!!

I’m also interested by the vegetation you used for this project?
Could you say more about it? especialy the olive trees, it seems you have some différent model, and cypress too.
Thank’s a lot.

Very nice work. Love the 1st pool shot.

Yes, trees are based on xfrog that i’ve use by the pass and modifi third time, i’ve done it with bones and skin to curve well trunk and branches.
Cypres are also xfrog but i’ve re-do the shaders
Lavander are home made.

And percydaman, curtains are cg  lol

Did you compose the sky in post, there is this cool whitish aura effect to the trees in the first three shots that I really like. I think it is called atmospheric dispersion but I never seen it proper in a render with mid-to-long range placed objects. Usually I only see the common graded sky from bottom to top and the objects, in this case trees, don’t get no atmospheric dispersion love.

yes i’ve compose the picture, but, the sky is a vraysky… and this aura effect is the result of a glow and a sharp alpha.

Thanks for explaining raistlin.
