When dealing with a lot of geo and displacement, it’s very useful to be able to hide everything outside camera view. If there is not a lot of reflection, the result is often the same and it saves a lot of ram.
Could be cool to have a switch for that in vray that would hide every faces (or objects) ouside of the camera cone with an option for the offset around the cone volume.
Such tool exist in carbon scatter and forest pack pro on an object basis.
thank you Vlado.
Also one can use particles with partcile flow camera culling operator to hide the non visible stuff, but the problem arise when you have displacement on your objects. You can’t instance an object with vraydisplacement with particle flow. So you are forced to bake the pflow and redistritribute the displaced geo and then you have to find a way to hide the geo out of the camera cone.
