Fur grass only working on flat plane surfaces

Does anyone know of any reason I can only get the grass fur to work on flat planes?

Sorry for the late reply!

Could you please provide screenshots to illustrate the issue? If you use the Dir command to flip the normals of the geometry, does the issue persist?

Is the V-Ray Fur widget linked to the object/s (V-Ray tab in the Properties panel)?
