Generating Video - Rapid Video Movements

I am loving the new tool to create your own “in Enscape” camera path. We are able to quickly generate some great videos that the entire project team are benefitting from.

One thing I have noticed however is after I have moved through the model and placed cameras, I am finding that any movement away from a standard “as the crow flies” trajectory can often result in the video having one or two cameras that rapidly shift away from the view path. These can be identified fairly quickly using the preview tool, however those responsible cameras along the journey cannot be edited in any way, so the entire path must be redone. Often resulting in the same result.

Beside a camera path that is direct line, with its view point fixed along the entire journey, has anyone figured out a methodology to make more curvilinear video paths with varying view points work smoothly?

@Darkitect_1 Could you explain the process of “Camera shift away from the view path” a little bit more detailed?

Do you place them on the path but they’re placed off the path?

Off the path - Are the cameras displayed on the path or really off the path?

Is this happening in all projects?

Which version of Enscape are you using?

Could you share a screenshot of the cameras placed off the path?

Using Enscape 2.2.1 (Revit 2017). Alienware / 1080 GPU PC.

Prob best if I send a video to you, as still images won’t really explain. How can I send to you ?

Brief summary of my workflow:

  1. Remove all previous cameras.

  2. Move to start of video, hit K, move to next spot, hit K, repeat to end view of video.

It’s quite frustrating tbh, as I have to go through placing all the cameras and only then can I do a test run and that is when one or two cameras appear to crazily look away from the building along the path.

Happening in all projects.

It would be helpful if you attach the XML file of the saved path so that we can see whats wrong with it.
