I recently updated my GPU driver on my new 3080Ti and I am getting hard close crashes when rendering with CUDA with C++ enabled. RTX rendering works fine and CUDA by itself works fine as well. The CPU is a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. Let me know if you want a file to see what the issue may be.
Hello, Matthew,
Could you please confirm the version of V-Ray you use and the version of your GPU drivers?
A packed project that can reliably demonstrate the crash would be immensely useful to finding out what is causing the problem.
You can send it via https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new or a file-sharing service of your choice.
We’ll get back to you as soon as we have the necessary info to conduct an investigation.
Kind regards,
Peter
SketchUp 21.1.332
GPU - GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Driver 472.12
I will send the file. Today it didn’t crash SketchUp but the render just got stuck on the first pass and the VRay Asset Editor will not open when I click the icon.
Thanks for the info!
Not being able to render your scene is still a serious problem!
Please make sure to include a link to this forum thread in the message box when submitting your project via our support system.
Kind regards,
Peter
The exact same thing is happening to me, with CPU and GPU I have no problem.
