Glass cracking test

Hi

It’s my first test here. I wanted to check Vray for Maya with conjunction of Fracture plugin in animation.
test for shading and materials , transparent shadows etc.

average frame rendering time for resolution of 1280x720 = 3 min. on single machine with 8 cores xeons.

cheers

p.s the same frame but using other renderer and native materials FG etc took about 15 minutes on customized quality setings… ;-)))

Hey!

the render looks great, but the simulation seems to be in slow motion… (both the projectile and the glass pieces falling).
Check your physics!

Cheers

nice render, although I agree with aneurisma about the physics,

compared to the size of the bricks the glass looks very thick, almost as thick as a brick in fact..
and yeah, it looks like a slomo

thanks Guyz

yes it is slow motion , about 150 frame rate per second, Maybe it is the reason it looks strange ,
normally with 30 frames per second it will take about the second lenght.. next time will try to do something about it .

cheers
