Could the Enscape team please consider giving the option to show transparent objects as solid in the material and object ID channels? For exterior renderings glass is probably the single most important thing to be able to adjust in post processing. The current state of materialID/objectID is useless for this.
A checkbox "transparent as solid and “transparent as clear” would be ideal, or just generate both.
VRay generates solid colors for transparent objects in the ID channels, so it doesn’t seem like an unreasonable thing to ask for…?
edit:
I guess this was requested previously here a couple years ago:
This is a must. Please consider a dedicated channel for relections.
In my opinion, a shortcoming in the enscape rendering engine is the removal of assets in the reflections (which I understand is by design), so having the ability to add custom reflections in the windows is important.
In our office, I have found too often a blank horizon as the reflection in the glazing, even though the model is filled with enscape assets.
I really hope this is being planned. Especially when windows/doors etc are all separate objects mapped to an AEC “Glass” material that cannot be made opaque. This results in needing to remap all of those objects, separately, to a different material just to get them opaque, just to get them to register in the material ID output. That’s a ton of extra work just on the front end.
