Hello
I am having an issue that I’ve never had before with Vray.
Could somebody please explain to me what these rectangles are all over the global illumination pass, and how to solve it please?
Cheers
Thanks for reporting. Firstly, if you haven’t updated to the latest version (V-Ray Next, update 3.1), please do so and try rendering again. If you have, could you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look? Mention your 3ds max and OS versions along with a link to this thread in the e-mail.
looks like adaptive domelight artifact from older vray version, see if disabling that option resolved it? also updating to latest vray.
@hermit.crab updated to 3.1, and squares artifacts from adaptive dome light are still a thing…
Yep, here too.
Then please please send these scenes to support, this would help bug hunt immensely! They have hard times reproducing these errors from scratch.
I wonder are all the materials and lights used vray compatible? Does using vray scene converter help?
Could you please send the scenes to support@chaosgroup.com so we can investigate? Mention the requested information from my previous post.
@psanitra I guess this it RAW GI render element? Does it help if you add the regular non-raw one?
Just a reminder that all RAW elements are derived from the non-raw ones and they should be included in the render as well (as in the notes of all RAW RE pages in the docs).
It`s not a RAW GI. It`s a VrayShadow element.
Unfortunately, this is one of the cases that we couldn’t fix in time for the release.
