Have anyone succesfully manage to achieve good loking godrays(volumetric fog) for example inbetween trees, when the sun lits the scene and is not visible in camera? Like when it lits the scene from behing the camera? I’m not a specialist on this case, probably it is not physically correct, but it would look nice
It looks like this is possible but requires a lot of experimenting, is not very apparent, and requires setup opposite to what works when sun is facing the camera.
If you just decrease the fog distance it should work better, shouldn’t it? As long as the cam is still facing the sun and the object which occludes the sun is not too big it should work without problem.
