How can I save the irr map EACH step computed, instead of at the end of all the sequence?
I have a large scene the sometimes crashes after a few frames, and I’m going crazy to make MANY, MANY LITTLE irr map.
I dont think this is the way to compute about 10000 frames…!!!
I’m sure that a software like vray is able to do this… or not?
I am working on a script that does this, are you rendering localy or with backburner ? I have not written/tested it for backburner yet. If you can handle an alpha script I can share it with you.
Hi RErender, i’m rendering on a local machine.
1) I’ve tried just once computing irr map on 1 slave with backburner, but it didn’t saved anything (0 Kb)… do you mean is possible to do that?
2) I’m new to maxscript (I’m just learning it)… i thing to be able to handle an alpha script, but I’m not sure on what it means…
I alway have to save the irrmap for about every 900 frames, so this means that for a 9000 frames animation i have to make 10 irrmap jobs and 10 render jobs. This is what my signature means.
I was making jobs for a 18000 frames animation and got so tired of it i added a signature to my profile.
I just can’t do more frames, because i can’t afford to lose time on crashed jobs or incomplete irrmaps, even with the 3Gb switch on i still run out of memory fast.
I didn’t dare configure behond 3Gb, I have to look at it closely.
I can’t render a scene without crashing at 1,5 Gb.I must stay under.
The use of the memory is a big big problem…
My scene is not interesting because I had to delete some objects
and effects.It’s very frustrating.
QMC and 400 mb dynamic limit are helpers that I don’t understand
principles, and some problem may be solved a bit with…
To be continued…
But a good news, DR will come soon and I will use my 2 other
computers in rendering.Well, I must increase their respective RAM.
