Gpu exception- Ryzen 7000 with amd Radeon 780m

Hi! The enscape system requirements says that there are a couple exceptions for the gpu requirement. One of these is the Ryzen 7000 series with an amd Radeon 740m or more. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of setup with enscape (currently I’m using it with sketchup)? I’m looking at a 780m. Is it just slower than a dedicated gpu?

Thank you

Hi @islandofsalt and welcome to our Forum.

Right away the Radeon 780M seems to offer quite a bit more performance compared to the Radeon 740M based on some benchmark comparisons online (e.g. here) but we would overall still reccomend going with a dedicated separate graphics card which isn’t only built into the CPU.

As per our system requirements you can check out which dedicated GPU’s we reccomend overall. You should be able to run Enscape otherwise if an upgrade in that direction isn’t possible though keep in mind that you may have to lower the Rendering Quality substantially based on your projects as well.
