If you use mapping other than “Explicit UVW channel” for the gradient map, for example “Screen”, it will go away.

Well for starters you have it set to explicit mapping channel.. and well the environment doesnt have any mapping. so here on the RC builds it renders white, if you change it to enironment mapping and choose screen it renders as expected.
