I too would LOVE to hear about powder coats. We have had to do several animations with them lately and they are brutal! What would be a the better approach to the powder coat materials? I figured I would be in sampling hell anyways. :wink:

Car paint I’d say - they get baked to something a bit more bitmapish and then filtered for stability - procedurals are going to be harsh, especially with animation. For stills, just turn down your quality :smile:

It’s a tough one - the anti aliaser will always see that as noise so you’re in sampling hell…
