I have noticed that it’s difficult to balance between light and shadows. Most of my stuff is 1/3 in shadow, and you have to bump up things to get a clean render in the shadows, which is overkill in the light. So, my light will be blue, and my shadow will be red.

Just a heads up guys that there won’t be a section in the forum for Mastering Vray so I’ll get something else up ASAP for discussion. Also a heads up that Chaos Group themselves are interested which is pretty cool haha!

Hi Grant I really need that list of downloads. Half of your links already expired while I was on holiday.

I think perhaps the way to resolve this is by sticking an antialiasing filter on. Something like ‘Video’ which looks nasty for stills but could be OK for 720P animation.

maybe try quadratic instead of video…

Still trying to push this method for rendering. Times certainly have gone up so far, though quality is good and reliable. A question though: when we do quick, low quality test renders, what is the simplest way to lower the overall quality and have quick ‘test’ renders? Is there one setting I should …

maybe try noise threshold on 1 instead of the default of 0.01?

Yeah I just change the noise threshold

I just checked, it’s just the introduction scenes that have expired (As far as I can tell) -Re-uploading now and will set all future downloads to never expire! What files did you have a problem with?

Yep. Done that. Suprised in difference in render time, but at least it clears up jaggies.

Will AMD FirePro Graphics cards work ok with VrayRT?
