Graphic card upgrade

Hi guys

I am currently thinking of upgrading my graphic card, mainly because of sluggish 3dsmax viewport performance. Currently I am using older GTX660 . The question is if it is worth buying a new card for around 250 euro viewport performance-wise and if yes could you please recommend any?

1060 6gb is really nice for a workstation unless you render or game on the same setup. Although currently way over 250 euro.

However sluggish max performance (using max2017) is always problem. Especially comparing to maya - insane difference.
But if you only encounter problems due to heavy geometry/textures it will definitely help.

Of course, gtx660 is very old. But make sure to get 6gb version.
