Grass Distance Fade Setting

I realize this have been reported as a bug, but I would like to make a specific request.

The fading of grass in the distance is obviously a setting. I would like to have control over this setting.

It is not possible for the Enscape team to predict all the various angles and distances we will be viewing grass from, and so whatever distance is automatically chosen will inevitably be wrong in many cases.

Currently the distance is so short that it is unusable. I just completed a typical eyelevel rendering of a small building, and the grass in the front of the building was partially visible in the foreground (corner of building) and invisible in the middle ground (near the entrance). It just looks weird, so I cannot use it for still images.

Thanks!

+1 this. Let us control the draw distance for grass! that way we can have it short for vr/real time and long for animations/stills.

@renderwiz and @grant10design , thank you for your feedback. I’ve filed the ability to adjust the grass rendering distance manually as a dedicated feature request. Let me know if there is anything else you wanna add to it!

As you’ve mentioned as well, this is currently a known problem. We’re busy resolving this, so thank you for a bit more patience.

@Demian_Gutberlet Grass is looking much better in the latest release, thanks!

Perfect! Thanks for the feedback.
