Like the topic says, I would like to know what you guys think of the grass.

Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
Looks nice, but it’s somewhat too blurry. The rest of the image is so sharp that it makes the grass stand out.
Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
I prefer the first one. Although it is a little blurry, the scale is better than the second one.
OK - now you are going to reveal how its done? I would say this is Micha’s grass technique - am I right?

Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
Yes David you’re right, It’s Micha’s method with a touch of photoshop brush.
Here’s link to the brushes that I’ve used, btw they’re free.

Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
Nomer, Ande Thanks for your replies.
Thanks man, i tried to simulate real curtain wall
Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
How would one achieve there glass to look like this? I need the wavy effect on my curtian wall, and I think the image will pop.
Help would be much apprecieated, Thanks!
Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
With bump using noise.
Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
Thanks. I got it to work a little bit, what settings did you use? Mine still looks like partition glazing or some sort of frosted glass.
Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
Did you enter that grass using photoshop or as an image overlay in sketchup? Im kind of new to texturing things and im trying to find the best way to add things such as grass, pavement and siding that pops out and doesn’t come off as a flat image.
Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
Hey Joe,
Sorry for the late reply, i’ve been busy lately. Here’s Noise settings: size 50, Frequency 5. that’s it, it’s not ideal and i think it depends on the units you’re using in SU also you might want to play with it a bit.
Best regards
Hey skunny,
Grass is defiantly an important area in ext. renders. I used Micha’s technique, you can read and learn about it here. It’s tought on vray for rhino but it’s the same.
Re: Grass- what’s Your opinion
Not a problem 40th, Thanks for those, I will try em out. I experimented with some of my own and they are looking pretty good. I appreciate the help, thank you!
