I have wanted a green screen for a while now, both for business and pleasure…LOL…Just for taking pics of the kids and etc. Is GREEN the way to go?

I found this one…and it seems VERY cheap!!! in price that is… What do ya think…Like I said this is just for giggles and taking those pics for holiday photos and shananigans.
Blue channels tend to be noisier than green so a lot of people use green. Blue keys blond hair better though. Get yourself a set of cheap work lights from a hardware store and you’re all set.
Perfect…that being said…I assume that Premiere has those channels built in sort of. I see that they have filters or whatever for several colors. And for instance, I f I am wearing the SAME green as the background, that will be masked out too right? Thanx
I just got an office people library…it looks like they used green background…the client wanted to remove one person that I put it in post…the note from the client said "please, remove “Green Latifah”…it seems that black people get a little bit of green.
Yup premiere has a keyer but possibly not the best one - if you’re shooting stills it’s really easy to use the colour channels in photoshop to pull a key - if you duplicate the green channel you can use the levels command on this to get a clean edge and then just paint in the middle. If you’re doing video footage then you get caught slightly by the low quality colour channels of dv footage but you can get a very good cheap keyer from dvgarage called dvmatte pro for around $99. Or get After Effects. It includes Keylight which is one of the best and most used keyers.
I’ve got a pretty big one that i got for around 500 bucks american a few years ago. its got green on one side and blue on the other. I’ll take a look and see where i got it from and post back.
