Green Wall Foliage (Not grass on vertical)

Hi, I’d like to see an update where materials named “Green wall” etc. produce 3D plant foliage (on vertical/inclined surfaces). Similar to how the grass currently works, but with leafy plants instead of grass blades

Along the lines of these examples: Image example 1, Image example 2, or Image example 3

(I did see other posts asking for grass on vertical surfaces, but none asking for leafy foliage)

I’m predominantly using enscape for Revit

In my opinion these examples would better modeled rather than automatically generated.

However I do think that some sort of vertical ‘vine’ foliage that could be used for ivy (climbing or hanging) or hedges would be a very cool addition.

Hey @Gadget_1 and @andygrout , I’ll forward your feature request to our developers. Thank you for the feedback. :slight_smile:

I don’t know if you use Sketchup, but if so…

I have just handed over a project where i needed a green wall, where i used this method for creating a green wall.

Btw. skatter is a fantastic tool, especially when combined with Enscape.

Lumion benefits more grass options. In fact it uses a set of models to choose from. It includes some ivy leaves that converts any volume to plants. This idea is achievable easily.

My idea too! The way they do it is great.

I think technically Enscape is capable of adding some more foliage to choose from. Using this tricky way almost every volume could be converted to trees or plants. Even there might be a mixture of several foliages.

Very cool Jorgensen. I assume you purchased this green wall Sketchup pack to create it then? https://gumroad.com/l/tOyB

I’m curious about it. The plant models looks great, but I wonder if the materials include any additional maps besides diffuse/albedo? (bump, normal, roughness etc.)

@TowerPower

Yes - I used that one - they come with bum and specular.

Definitely, this would be a great addition! Any updates on this? @Demian_Gutberlet
