I used version 0.76b. At least for the “age” parameter it works. I don´t know about previous versions. I came across this plugins some days ago.
yes it’s a fantastic plugins ! I’m trying it yet and i’m very impressed… what are you using to render this animation ? the irrmap animation mod or other ?

my test is short but its using the new irradiance map animation setting
There is also the ivy generator program. Not sure if someone has mentioned this already.

I used Irr.map single frame/Light Cache.

One little problem I noticed… when using backburner the Ivy object
was reset to the world coordinates center. But I haven´t investigated
this behaviour closer for the moment. I helped myself by setting the Ivy object to world center by default and build the geometry around it.
I have another animation in the queue.. but it won´t be finished before monday :).. hopefully
