Good afternoon.
I have searched and read all the comments before posting. I have come across Fotosketcher, but that is not what I am after really. it looks very CGI looking .
So modelling the base model in 3D max.
Render with Edge texture, and print out .
Sketch over.
Scan in and recolour in photoshop.
A rather long pipe line.
Has anybody come across a believable method of producing straight out renders from Vray?
I know SketchUp is an answer, but not my favourite piece of software I’ll be upfront.
Thank you
You could try this ancient thing, which I thought was dead. Apparently it’s what SKU uses for that effect.
There’s a max 17 plugin for it. Piranesi Updates
Well I would try nanobanana, or any other AI with controlnets and some sketch lora. If not that than SketchUp, a lot of people in our industry don’t like it, but that’s mostly because they received models of people not capable of using it to its full extent.
Well, I tried Nano banana, and I’m very impressed.
I modelled all the basics for the scheme, roads , paving paving edge, trees, applied general colours, lights camera, rendered the view.
Simple prompt of Arch illustration, and I got a lovely image out.
Question.
Is there still a backlash against images like this ?
if images like this appeared in the paper for future development, would there be an issue with them using AI?
I know Vray now has it …but do people know when they look at the image?
Looks great. You could save these outputs as references in case you are struggling to achieve a consistent result. You can prompt NB by saying for example “apply the style from image 1 on to image 2.” (or something along those lines). One other tip is that you can circle areas (in Photoshop for example) you want NB to change and it apparently works quite well. You could circle a part of the paving you want to change to a different material and it will supposedly work better than trying to describe an area of the image you want changed. And don’t forget you can photobash it all back together in photoshop.
There is backlash but it seems to be for different reasons depending on the context. Perhaps the ‘paper’ you mentioned requires any AI content to be flagged as such, so be aware.
