I am running all three without a problem. I am doing things I could have never done before with my extra gig of ram under x64.

You want to hear my latest Autodesk rant?
5pm Friday, Pacific Time Zone. 3DStudio all of sudden starts quitting with the error message “There was a problem with your software license.” Upon restart, I’m given the option to Activate or Run Max for 7 days. Attempting to choose the later option tells me that my trial period has expired and that I have to reactive. Attempting to reactivate tells me that I’ve activated too many times and I have to call Autodesk via the 800 number provided.
Calling Autodesk results in a recorded message “Our call center is closed, please call back between 9-5 Monday through Friday”.
So… when rushed to get some stuff done, I can’t use Max. This morning (Monday) I call in, and they reactivate for me. And guess what? It’s an Indian call center. Why oh why are they restricted to 9-5 Eastern Standard Time for an Indian call center?
Yes, I hate Autodesk too.

You’re not running RAID are you?
Nope, no raid. Nothing changed hardware-wise. I had hooked up a couple of firewire drives for formatting purposes, but that was it. I also had installed XP 64bit service pack 2, but it’s stupid if that would trigger reactivation.
If it happens again I will be very pissed.
The only reason I asked is that we had RAID setups a number of years ago - very highly specced machines at the time (3 1/2 years ago) - and every now and again, we were informed that the hardware had been changed and we had lost activation. We reinstalled to single SATA drives and this issue went away.
It was fantasitc.
