Right now, one of KeyShot’s biggest advantages over V-Ray is its ability to create custom HDRIs. This feature allows for precise control of lighting environments in industrial design rendering, while also saving time and disk space—since pre-made HDRIs are often large files and don’t always meet a designer’s exact needs.
Introducing a similar HDRI creation and editing tool in V-Ray could be a major breakthrough, giving users more flexibility and making V-Ray significantly more competitive in the industrial design market.
