HDRi Multiplier

Why the two multipliers? I thought one was at render time and the other was viewport, however, I have seen people set one at 10% of the other, which makes no sense to me.

isnt that when the hrdi map has been created with a large exposure range, similar to some of Peter Guthrie hdri maps? So they appear way too bright in viewport but produce crisper shadows in the render?

People wanted to be able to see the HDR in the material editor but to use a different multiplier for the final render for lighting. If you have several HDRs and in the material editor they all end up as blown-out white, it’s not very useful.

Vlado

Okay, that is what I thought.
